And in that moment, every single medical professional RAN OUT OF THE ROOM. I kid you not. I am certain they each had some urgent detail to take care of for this imminent birth, but they left us literally hanging. I held whatever sterile covering they just threw into my arms as Kaysie lay on the bed, her head hanging over the side. I could see the child coming out. I pulled Kaysie to the position I remembered her in for the birth of Morgan and screamed …

Suddenly, the room burst with activity. All of the doctors and nurses were back, fully outfitted for the labor. I asked where our doctor was.
