Chapter 12

The next day, Holly was rushing through the jail to let Bugatti know what the arrest was all about.

“I’m the attorney for Jacob Wells,” Holly said as the guard behind the desk looked up Bugatti and gave her a visitor pass.

“Right through that door. I can’t believe we got Bugatti in here!” the young female jailer said with excitement to have the biggest rapper in the game in their jail.

Holly just rolled her eyes and took off through the double doors. When she got upstairs in the visitors’ cubicle, she saw two guards escorting Bugatti down the hallway through the big glass windows. Bugatti had a look of frustration on his face, one that Holly had never seen. The guards opened the door up for him and as soon as he stepped in, they locked it and positioned themselves outside with their back to the door.

“Cuz…you good?” Holly said, hugging Bugatti tightly, knowing he was in deep trouble.

“I’m good, cuz. What’s up with this shit?” he asked as he sat across from her.

“Look…all I know right now is Viola is talking and she has implicated you for a deal,” Holly explained.

“I thought that was all over with,” he asked, looking confused.

“Apparently, she contacted the DA and made a deal and they went for it; so that’s why you are here. They have you on the murder of a female, I can’t remember the name, but I will get all the details tomorrow when the head DA gets in. But right now, you got to sit until we can get you a bond hearing,” Holly told him seeing him tense up.

“This is some fuck shit, we need to talk to Viola…real talk!” he spat, knowing he was done if Viola kept talking.

“We on it, you just calm down; we’re going to get you a bond and then we can handle the rest. I’ll call in a favor and get you a hearing in the morning; but for now, just chill and call Royal, she’s blowing my phone up,” Holly told him as the guards took turns watching their exchange.

“They won’t let me use the phone yet, got me on lockdown because of my celebrity. I keep telling them I’m good, I don’t need no fuckin protection!” he snapped.

The guards quickly turned, hearing him yelling.

“Just chill, cuz; I’ll talk to them before I leave, but they are going to have to keep you on lock per their policy, but I will get you to the phone. Relax, and I’ll be up here first thing in the morning to see you again,” Holly said as she stood to leave.

“Appreciate you, cuz. I’ll tell Royal to take care of you,” he said as he stood and hugged her.

“No need, cuz. I…” she started before he cut her off.

“I ain’t trying to hear that. I got you,” he insisted as the guards opened the door to escort him back to his cell.

“Love you,” she said, trying to hold back the tears.

“Love you too,” he replied as he walked out.
