According to the survey sample (Fig. 44), a large portion of Neot Rabin residents are dissatisfied by public transportation. Due to lack of local retail shops, public services (such as schools), and sources of employment (with no tertiary buildings) within the core of the neighborhood, most daily travel has to be by car. This can explain why more than 60% of households in the sample own (or have the use of) at least two cars. Thus, Neot Rabin would be ineligible for LEED ND, or similar ‘green neighborhood,’ certification.
