Before, when we were rich

and Dada Abu was healthy

and our family was together,

maybe we were too happy.

Maybe we flaunted it

and now we’re floundering.

On the phone Dadi says,

Be careful what you share,

who you share joy with.

Not everyone

is happy for you . . .
