“POKED”

At the time of this writing, Victoria is the new Senior Recreation Supervisor on our team at Greystone. She was so new that I didn’t have time to talk to her about whether she has experienced any episodes with the paranormal, but it didn’t take long to find out. Kristin Buhagiar, her Recreation Services Manager, asked Victoria to join her upstairs in the mansion in her new office to go over the upcoming recreation events. Victoria and Kristin know each other well having worked together for another city. I went inside the mansion to check up on them to make sure everything was okay. Since Victoria was new to the mansion, we chatted for a minute and then the three of us walked across the hall to show her Lucy’s room—and that’s when things got strange. After this incident, Victoria and I kept it to ourselves because we didn’t want to scare Kristin.

I connected with Victoria later that day, and started by asking her if she felt any energy when we were walking through Lucy’s room.

VICTORIA ELIZABETH CUSUMANO

(Senior Recreation Supervisor)

Victoria: You saw there was a spot that got cold—I actually got goose bumps!

I remember Victoria held her arms out to me. At first, I had no idea what was going on. I watched her looking up for an air conditioning vent but I told her we didn’t turn on the air conditioning. She looked at me very perplexed because her goose bumps weren’t going away.

Victoria: I got light-headed when we were in the closet area in Lucy’s dressing room. I opened the doors and I was looking at the drawers and then you guys went around to Lucy’s bedroom, and as soon as I stepped foot in that room, I really started feeling kind of light-headed. I’m like, “I need to eat something.” That was the first thing I thought, “Oh gosh, I need to eat something. I haven’t eaten much today. My head is light.”

As she explained her uneasiness, I had a feeling that something was affecting her.

Victoria: Then you suggested I should get out of the room. So we walked out and I got really hot in the hallway.

Victoria suddenly looks like she is on the verge of breaking out in a sweat. I’m getting concerned. I recall standing there with her. “Feel my neck,” she says. I do and it’s very warm, so I suggest we go inside Kristin’s office to get out of the second-floor hallway. Victoria is shaking her head, still dumbfounded by it all.

Victoria: I was on fire! Like I had a fever. Then when we went into Kristin’s office it was like, whoo! Nothing! It was gone. I thought I was going to start to break a bad sweat and then suddenly it all just went away. Now, I’m not going to lie, I get hot flashes, but they don’t go away like that. Like you break a sweat, it’s two to three minutes. It’s like a whole thing. It doesn’t just go away like that.
