Complete Spiritual Renewal

When Jesus removes our guilt, He sees us as innocent as if we had just been born. As a matter of fact, Jesus told us that if we want to come to Him, we “must be born again.” 11 We start new, as if beginning for the first time—not by figuring some way back into our mother’s womb so we can try life again from scratch, but by undergoing a complete spiritual renewal from God.

Since God considers us completely new, neither He, Jesus, nor the Holy Spirit will ever bring up the forgiven sin again. Not even on Judgment Day. When God forgives, the sin is totally annihilated. It doesn’t exist in you. It doesn’t exist in heaven. Guilt is gone. It can only exist in your memory.

And it will only exist there if you choose to believe it is still there.
