A Note on the Cahier (“Program”)

The blue cahier, included here with the play script, details some highlights of the lives and careers of Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas. Throughout the play, the characters refer to it as “the program.” Written by the Independent Aunties and designed by Kilby Smith-McGregor, the cahier is an essential part of the production of the play, and each audience member should be given a copy.
