If You Can Move It, You Can Exercise It

Some people think that exercise has to mean that you’re exhausting yourself and working out so much that you can’t move the next day. In fact, when you work out so hard that you can’t move comfortably or get through the next day, you’re setting yourself up for a loss. A good workout is one that gets your heartbeat up, that works out the muscles in such a way that they will improve over time, and which leaves you feeling tired, but not exhausted. You want to feel a little bit of that localized soreness in your muscles the following day, but you don’t want it to be so much that you feel discouraged from going back again and doing it again when the time comes. Take your workouts seriously and think about the parts of your body that you can move. Those parts of your body are controlled with muscles, which could all stand to be stronger. Making stronger muscles often means that the area around those muscles becomes leaner. Start small if you’re not used to exercise and work your way up! You can start with a stationary bike and some light weight lifting (make sure to look up proper form and adhere to it!) if you’re most comfortable with that, then you can build from there.
