Chapter Eleven

Maria sat parked a few houses down from where Kash and Nae rested their heads. She had been watching their every move for the last two weeks. They did just about the same thing every day never doing much with each other. Kash would leave first most of the time and Nae would leave thirty minutes to an hour later. Maria never saw them with their twins, causing her to scratch her head. As much as Kash praise his kids she hadn't seen him with them in two weeks causing her to wonder where they were. Maria was so deep in her thoughts she never saw or heard when her car was being approached until it was too late.

Nae smashed the crow bar into the driver's side window, shattering it on impact.

"Aahh!" Maria screamed as she blocked her face from the broken glass flying everywhere.

"Why are you sitting outside my home?" Nae asked ready to swing the crow bar again, but this time upside Maria's head. Maria looked up at Nae smiling.

"So we meet again," she said. Nae yanked the door opened dragging her out.

"And I'm goin' to make sure this is our last time," Nae spat raising the crow bar over her head bringing it down smashing it into Maria's midsection.

"Aaaahhhhhh!" Maria grunted as she doubled over in pain.

"You got my home raided while my babies were there," Nae said raising the crow bar once again. Nae didn't realize she was crying until a tear rolled down her cheek.

"That....was just....the....beginning," Maria barely got out as she continued to roll around in pain. "You better.....kill me....now." She whispered.

Nae wiped the tears away. "That's just it, Maria, I don't want you dead. I want you to wish you were," Nae said beating her with the crow bar. When Maria stopped moving Nae stopped swinging. She stood over Maria huffing and puffing as her chest heaved up and down as if she had just run a mile. Nae had just taken all her frustration and anger out on Maria. Most of it was towards her, but some was for Kash. How could Nae place all the blame of Maria? Kash was the one she was in a committed relationship with, not Maria.

"I hope this will teach you that fuckin' with Nae isn't where it's at," Nae said finally walking off.

Nae went into the house to change and get ready for her little outing with Meccah.

Kash walked into Bar 355 looking around. His eyes landed on who he was there to meet. Shyne was sitting at the bar watching a basketball game that was playing on the flat screen sitting over the bar.

"Double shot of Hennessy," Kash said approaching the bar.

"Things are that bad?" Shyne asked while looking at his friend. Kash sighed as he took a seat. The bartender sat his double shot in front of him. "Keep 'em coming," he said taking the shot.

Shyne laughed.

"I lost my wife, I'm on a one-way road to self-destruction, and a nigga ain't had no pussy in I don't know how long," Kash said.
