Hey, I’m not your buddy—quit calling me that—

SAM

Remember the time Jem made us all pickle-and-cheese sandwiches out here but she forgot hers inside?

TEEJ

We thought she was coming right back and we waited and waited.

SAM

And then I caught you sneaking a bite—you were such a cute little kid.

TEEJ

I’m not cute.

SAM

Yes you are—you are still cute.

TEEJ

I’m not—quit calling me that.

SAM

Okay, what’s with you—

TEEJ

I mean it. You think you can call me anything you want—buddy, cute, little man—I’m sick of it.

SAM

Thanks for being mad at Jem and taking it out on me, eh.

TEEJ

I’m not mad at her.

SAM

Those are all the names she calls you—not me—

TEEJ

They’re not—

SAM

Fine. Why are you in denial anyways?

TEEJ

Why are you?

SAM

How am I in denial? Wasn’t it obvious to you? They can hardly even be in the same room without going off on each other—open your eyes, Bud.

TEEJ

Quit calling me that—I mean it.

SAM

Whoa, Teejay.

TEEJ

Say you’re sorry.

SAM

Teejay—stop it.

TEEJ

Say it.

SAM

What is with you, Teejay?

TEEJ

SAY IT!!!

SAM

Okay, okay—I’m sorry, okay? I’m sorry.
