The MLF activist who signed her letter “Actuelle” (Today), in the fourth issue of Actuel, summarized the beginning of the movement:

Up until now, we were considered the domestic help, we had no other roles other than the ones imposed upon us … Now, the time has come for a radical revision of the issues. All couples are bourgeois couples!

Some adventurous souls who didn’t enjoy these pleasures were prey to the flames. The virgins were considered like old women; lovers like whores; concubines like passing birds. After thirty, their market value was about zero. If they got involved in politics, they were advised to go take care of their vaginal problems elsewhere.
