Mor,

If you do not return to us and seal your

marriage you will force our hand. You will

not like what happens.

Mr. Williamson

They were all silent, letting the words sink in. “He referred to himself as ‘Mr. Williamson’?” Sebastian shook his head. “He is clearly a prick.”

“What do you think they will do? Should I go back?”

“Absolutely not!” Ben growled.

“Mor, sweetie, nothing they could do would be worth you going back.” Max’s face was deadly serious.

“But what if they come after you? They could drag your names through the mud or try to take your shop or - “

Sebastian cut her off. “Mor, darling, if they try any of that we will simply outspend them. The secret to success in the human world is money. And quite frankly, we have more than your - parents - could ever possibly amass.”

Her eyes popped open at that. “I don’t know what to say to that. You don’t seem like the type of people to care about that.”

Atreyu grinned. “We don’t! But it’s like a game and we are very good at it. Plus, it helps us smooth over any strangeness that comes from our long lives.” He winked at her and added, “Also, it means we can buy new toys whenever we want.”

“I’m not surprised you would want that. You do have every gaming system.”

“You haven’t even seen our outdoor toys!” He clapped his hands in excitement. “Maybe that’s what we should do this weekend!” He did a fist pump. “Jet skis here we come!”

The guys all started planning what they would all do this weekend. It sounded like it was going to be a lot of fun. Jet skis, boats, beer? Fuck yes, count her in! She grinned but then realized she didn’t have a swimsuit. “Guys.” They were so excited they didn’t hear her. “GUYS!”

“What?” They all stopped to look at her like she was crazy.

“I don’t have a swimsuit. So all this talking about swimming is cool, but I can’t go.”

“Huh.”

“Well, I guess we just add shopping to the list.” Max smiled.

“I think I’ll like watching our darling try on different suits.” Sebastian’s smile was wicked.

“Easily solved, Mor.” Ben grinned.

“I’ve never been on a boat. My parents didn’t deem it to be a place that business could be conducted. And if there was no business that could be conducted then….” She shrugged.

“Well, we shall remedy that tomorrow!” Sebastian stood up. “But for now, it’s time for sleep. Come on darling, I get my second night now.” He grinned and swept her into his arms carrying her from the room.
