Without a single ounce of sleep, I went back to my house the next morning, and jumped into the shower. The beach had given me relief, yes, but it had also cleared my mind of every troubling thought, leaving only one. It had forced me to think of him, and face the facts.
Fact #1. Connhor Whyte was annoying as hell. It was way too clear he always got what he wanted, and right now, that appeared to be me. The why was what troubled me. I had no clue.
Fact #2. His new name was Mr. Grabby Hands.
Fact #3. I may or may not actually like it when he touched me.
Grimoire note: If you repeat that to anyone, I will turn you into a toad.
Fact #4. That kiss had been life changing in more ways than one. What exactly had happened between us?
My eyes closed, and instantly, Connhorâs face inhabited my consciousness. Was he okay now? Was he sleeping? Or was he up too, unable to rest? Did he even remember that I had been there?
Heâd probably want nothing to do with me after realizing what I did to him. No doubt, his father would do anything possible to make sure I never came within a hundred feet of his son again.
Good. A restraining order sounded perfect right about now. Maybe then the Silver Wizard would leave me alone. I should have never gotten close to him to begin with; it had been a stupid mistake. One that I should never repeat, not under any circumstances.
I didnât date light Wizards. In fact, Iâd never dated at all.
The memory of the kiss we shared returned, robbing me of breath and demolishing every belief I had ever held. Hesitant fingertips lifted to my lips, caressing the soft skin, and the tingling his lips had ignited returned. What was happening to me? Why did Connhor affect me this way? Why in the astral snake pits had I kissed him? Sure, he had asked, but that didnât mean I needed to oblige.
Except, I had wanted to kiss him. Whatever it was he awakened inside me, begged for more to be uncovered. Unfortunately for me, it seemed the only way that could be achieved was by being next to him, touching him, kissing him.
That was bad. Very bad indeed⦠I had too many things to focus on, and Connhor was not one of them.
Connhor Whyte was somehow under my skin after only two datesâdays NOT dates. After seeing him twice. UGH. Never mind. Now, I feared that getting him out would be harder than I imagined.
Sighing, I let my toweled butt fall on the bed as the most important of all those facts became painfully clear. Amorah Blahk was nothing more than just another hormonal teenager in Salem, infatuated with the Silver Wizard after just one look into his molten-mercury eyes.
So pathetic.
Okay, enough self-pity. What I needed now was a plan of action. A list of steps to follow so this never happened again. Like, EVER.
Step #1.
