Lost and found
D-Money hid in the back storage room as he secretly rolled his boonk blunt. He still was not ready to let Stacie know that he was smoking powder and weed. At this time, he was far from stressed, being that Dream was alive and well. He was still bothered by her presence and the fact that Bump was actually dead and gone.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
D-Money was startled, not realizing that someone knew his whereabouts. He swiftly hid his blunt before he opened the door. It was his daughter, Moneisha.
“What’s up daddy’s girl? Why are you woke?” D-Money asked with concern.
“I can’t sleep daddy. I keep having nightmares about you dying,” Moneisha confessed.
D-Money picked up Moneisha and held her tight. He wasn’t sure what could be causing her to dream such horrific things but it scared him. He carried her back inside the home and took her to her room. He laid down with her and rocked her back to sleep, only the thought of his daughter’s dream occupied his mind.
After Moneisha fell back to sleep, D-Money went into the living room to use the internet. The first website that came to mind was yahoo.com; D-Money attempted to research the shootings and aftermath of Dream and Bump. He came across an article dated two years ago that highlighted the robbery and murder attempt. In the article, it was noted that Dream survived the robbery but her beau, Tavares Richardson, died due to a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. D-Money felt a little more at ease.
With his mind put to rest, he decided to go back to bed and skip the smoking. As he walked into his room, he heard his cell phone vibrating. He picked it up and noticed a text message from CokoAngel.
“Baby, I miss you. When are you coming to see me?” D-Money immediately erased text message before replying to it.
“I’ll be through tomorrow evening, before my babies’ bedtime.” D-Money sent the reply and was sure to erase his entire outbox and inbox before going to bed. He refused to get caught up in the very thing that killed a relationship: cheating.

“Dollar, I was wondering if you have seen or heard from my sister lately,” Reka spoke into the receiver, hoping Dollar would be able to help her.
“Who is this?” Dollar replied.
“This is Reka – Lacey’s sister. We’ve not seen or heard from her in months and it’s beginning to scare us,” Reka divulged.
“The last time that I heard from Lacey, she told me she was coming to see you. Said it was a family emergency and she needed to leave at once. You’re saying that she never made it to you all?” Dollar inquired, puzzled.
“No. How long ago was this?” Reka asked, confused.
“About five months ago. I just assumed that she decided to stay with the family and stop working for us permanently. It never crossed my mind to call behind her,” Dollar stated.
Reka became antsy and unsettled. Her woman’s intuition was telling her that something was wrong.
