Nausea had carved a space in my stomach and refused to leave. The thought of Cronus watching me with my mates left an oily residue on my insides, and Em jostling me didn't help. I clung to his back, too weak and sore to walk thanks to him and Harvey. I usually enjoyed the sore ache after we fucked, the memory of exquisite sex but now I just felt dirty. I wanted to forget it had ever happened, and that wasn't fair.

None of this was fucking fair.

"That corner looks okay," Harvey murmured, subdued like we all were. Even Wynvail had kept the snarky asshole comments to a minimum, and had cloaked us in his moon-white magic long enough for us to dress and clean up.1 "There are no openings nearby."

"That we can see," Kai muttered, his power writhing on his skin, the text inked on his arms spiralling. Whatever calm I'd given him was thoroughly demolished by Cronus spying on us. "The Labyrinth can change, remember."

"Like I could forget," Harvey snapped. "You didn't face the thing I did, you didn't see the memories I was forced to relive, so don't give me that shit, Malakai."

I reached for their souls to soothe them, a knot twisting in my chest when I found only broken threads. I needed my bonds fixed. I was starting to think this was another curse, and I didn't think a tattoo would break this one. I couldn't escape the fact that I was cursed to kill my mates and time was rapidly dwindling. None of us were talking about it, like it'd go away if we just didn't mention it.

Kai's next laugh was low and broken, the ground shuddering as his eyes flashed, his anger spiking fast.

"Don't," Emlyn sighed wearily. "This is exactly what Cronus wants."

"We're tired," I input. "And hungry, and more than a little angry. We need to sleep, or at the very least rest. If you think that corner's good, Harvey, we'll settle there for tonight."

If it even was night. Who's to say Cronus didn't control the sky above the maze?

"Someone needs to stay awake," Emlyn said, stroking my arm where it draped over his shoulder. "I don't trust the titan not to send something to attack us in our sleep."

"I'll take the first watch," Wynvail offered, his gaze straying in my direction, scanning me.

"Like hell you will," Kai snarled, his magic thumping harder, stronger. "So you can slit our throats in our sleep? Don't think we've forgotten your master's death order. And you're still cagy as fuck about this resurrection pearl."

Wynvail smiled humourlessly, more a baring of teeth. His perfect, cultured veneer was wearing thin lately. "Because it's none of your business."

"If you told us, we'd be less inclined to kill you," I pointed out, wincing when Emlyn slid me down his back, my pussy twinging and ass sore as fuck.

I waddled up to Harvey, plastering myself to his side and batting my lashes at him.

"What do you want?" he asked, all the irritation leaving his expression when he met my eyes.
