By working through the fourth exercise at the transformation of the damaged astral body, the Thrones simultaneously enhance in us the power of will. The Spirits of Will have allowed Lucifer to implant a ‘bad will’ into the astral body. This brought about the dimming of our perceptions of the world of spirit, on the one hand, and on the other a non-perceiving of what is good, beautiful and true in the sense world—a primal negativity in the astral body. The fourth exercise enables the astral body gradually to free itself from, and be cleansed of this bad will, so that ‘good will’ can be reinstated instead. That is the precondition for the transformation of the astral body in the spirit-self.
