James jerked me closer and whispered into my ear. “Whatever you do, don’t let him fuck you.”

“Get out.” Elias choked out. He swiveled towards the hallway. “Get them out! Now. Leave the girl.” Four guards I’d never seen before rushed into the room, holding cattle prods. Fucking A. They were serious.

Hunter pulled my face towards him, kissing me. “We’ll get you out of this, I swear.” His eyes were fierce and even though two guards had grabbed him and were dragging him from the room, he looked like a fierce dragon warrior. Two other guards were struggling with James. One was holding him down while the other was putting a collar around his neck. Once it was clamped tight, they took him from the room.

The last thing I saw before they removed him from the room was his smirk at Elias.

“Get out!” Elias screamed before he slammed the door shut. Then it was just him and me, alone in the room together.

I grabbed the blanket, covering myself but he rushed towards the bed and hauled me out of the bed.

“Get in the shower, you filthy whore. Get their smell off you.”

I yanked my arm out of his hold and stood to face him, holding my ground. “Get me some clothes to change into first.”

He looked me over. “Who said you’ll be allowed to get dressed?”

I folded my hands over my chest. “I do.” James had said that Elias wanted me. I made an assumption that would mean, for now, he would at least try to make me happy.

He sighed, running his hands through his hair, then stomped towards the door. He yanked the door open, snarling. “Ryker, go get her some more clothes.” Then he looked at me, his eyebrow raised. “Happy?”

I nodded, then turned towards the bathroom door. He began to follow me in, but I turned around, giving him a firm look. “I don’t need a babysitter in the shower.”

He grit his teeth. “I’m going to go eat dinner, then. If you want any food, you’ll be there before I’m done.” Then he walked out, shutting the door firmly behind him.
