Chapter 12

Adeline woke to find Orion asleep beside her, his face vulnerable in repose. Handsome too. Looking at him made her think of what Ambrose had said, about taking them both as lovers.

Much too soon to contemplate. She’d only barely met them.

Yet she’d let Ambrose pleasure her to climax. What if Orion wanted to do the same?

Such a slutty thing to contemplate.

Also very titillating.

At the same time, how could she even dare to think she could satisfy not one but two incredible hunks?

It would be exciting to try.

If it was real. What if she dreamed?

Orion opened his eyes. “Good morning, sweetheart.”

“Hey,” her soft reply.

“Did you sleep okay?”

She nodded and wondered if he knew what she and Ambrose had done. She bit her lower lip.

“Don’t you go being all shy on me. I know you and Ambrose fooled around, and I’m cool with it. He says he talked to you a bit about the fact we’re both interested in you.”

“Yeah, but I’m not sure how to feel about it.” Embarrassed, for one. She never actually thought people had discussions about that kind of thing. Heck, she never thought anyone would propose it to her.

“Do you like us?”

“Yes, but I also barely know you.”

“Which is why dating exists.”

“Date both of you?”

“Don’t think of us as two separate people. Me and Ambrose, we’re a team. We’ve shared everything since a young age.”

“Even women?” she had to ask.

“Nope. You’d be the first and only because you’re special.”

Her nose scrunched. “Not really.”

“You are to us. And we’d really like to show you how much if you’ll let us.”

“By having a threesome,” she stated, the words blurting out from her lips.

“By doing whatever you’re comfortable with. Being in a throuple doesn’t have a set of rules. Some take turns when it comes to lovemaking, others prefer a threesome in the bedroom.”

“What do you want?” she asked.

“For now, a morning snuggle.”

Did snuggle mean sex?

He must have deciphered her expression because he uttered a low husky chuckle. “I just mean cuddle, unless you’re in the mood for something more.”

“I don’t know what I want,” her honest admission. “I mean this is unexpected, and I don’t know what I want or think.”

He smiled. “Would it help if I said we’ve never done this before? Never wanted to?”

“Then why me?”

“Like I said, there’s something about you that draws us both. Call it fate. Love at first sight—”

“Love?” she squeaked.

His eyes crinkled at the corners. “Yeah, I can’t believe I said it either.”

“It’s too soon.”

“Is it? I always wondered what people meant when they said love at first sight. In my case, it might have been the first bite of that sandwich.”

“I do make a mean sandwich,” she said with a lilt of her lips.

“You also wield a mean bat.”

“I am sorry about that.”

“Don’t be. I like that you’re tough. Now come here and let me enjoy your softer side.” He reached for Adeline, and she scooted over to be in his arms. Nice, a different nice than Ambrose. Not better, not worse.
