Chapter 17

Dallas’s phone rang; it was Zane, “My nigga talk to me.” Zane could tell he was in a good mood. He’d heard Kim’s fine ass was in town.

“I see Kim is keeping you happy,” He said to him.

“Me and my damn maid,” Dallas said.

“What?” Zane didn’t know what type of shit they were on.

“Never mind that, what’s going on with you?” He could hear life in Zane’s voice.

“My wife is awake, my baby is gaining weight; I am a blessed man.” He was cloud nine.

“Aww man that’s some beautiful shit right there. I’m happy for you man. Is there anything you need me to do?” Dallas didn’t want to rush up to the hospital just yet. He was gonna let her gain strength.

“I do need one thing from you,” Zane had a serious tone.

“Say the word its done man.” Zane was his lifelong friend. He would do anything in the world for him.

“My wife no longer works for you. I don’t want my woman in this field. I want her home taking care of my children, shopping, traveling etc. I just want her to enjoy life, I will handle the life threating jobs,” Zane knew he would understand.

“I never knew bringing these women in would shake my crew up so much but it has. The power love doesn’t follow rules. Neither does my crew. I respect you man, your wife and your rules,” Dallas assured him.

“Thanks man that means a lot to me. Can you call the crew letting them know she woke?” Zane asked.

“Now you want me to be your damn secretary,” Dallas shook his head.

“It’s not like that man,” Zane laughed.

“I got you family,” He hung up with him calling Jay.

Zane was so happy he skipped down the hall to see his baby daughter Lovely.
