Chapter ten

Images Of Her

Lazlo

He couldn’t stay away from her. Like some instant fucking obsessive-compulsive disorder, he visited her again on Sunday. She once again met him in the parlor room.

She wore another dress. This one wasn’t backless and sleeveless, as the previous one had been. The bruising from her submission session didn’t permit that.

Her flawless makeup still gave the illusion she was the same as before. Only he knew about the bruises on her body. He itched to let his hands trail lightly over the dark places beneath her skin.

“Good morning, Soraya. How was your afternoon yesterday?”

He smiled at her.

“It went well. I saw the physician and received the treatment you desired, and I managed the workout session and committed to self-defense classes as you wished.”

Soraya paused and looked away before meeting his gaze again.

“I displeased my submission coach with my slow reaction time, but I think I’ll improve with practice. The nonverbal cues frighten me, but I’ll give it a serious effort, my lord, and hopefully, my progress will please you.”

Soraya gave him the information as if she expected him to ask, and it was a requirement.

He found it interesting that she told him the truth without shying away from any pertinent details, even if she herself wasn’t happy with the information.

“I saw what the video revealed and don’t doubt your reaction times and your acceptance of the pain rather than flinching from it will only improve as you continue. I received reports. It pleases me to hear you speak the truth to me.”

Lazlo informed her of his scrutiny.

“Lying serves no useful purpose, my lord. It only creates negative situations which have always resulted in severe chastisement. I prefer the truth. Unless you prefer I lie, I won’t.”

She whispered, not wishing to admit to her previous chastisement. Perhaps she feared he’d think her unruly.

He didn’t. If the belt marks on his back from his father were any sign, most punishments appeased the punisher and did little to truly alter the one punished. He refused to examine that further.

“We all matured with discipline. For most of us, proper discipline needs to occur so we improve ourselves. There is no shame in that. What was the nature of your chastisement?”

He was curious about her training. He imagined most of her punishment didn’t fall into the realm of proper discipline.

“I was left naked in the cells below. They’re windowless, cold, and dark. No one can hear you scream. Time stops, and you have only your thoughts. Sometimes water, but no food. I don’t wish to be punished for my failures or my disobedience again. I learned my lessons well. Don’t fear. I’ll be successful for you.”

Soraya had the same underlying drive to win, to succeed, he did, but she chased his acceptance of her complete and total submission to his will. That felt so perfect there was no way he would stop any of it.

“There will be no cells for you once you come with me. I agree with your assessment of my preference for the truth.
