Chapter 18

Camilla

I didn’t want to get into a fight with him, but the more we argued the hotter things became. Just a few words-released flashes of memory I wasn’t expecting.

There was that dirty mop bucket he was talking about and a feeling of overpowering lust spread over my body exponentially.

I tried to hide it; however, he could see right through me. I appreciated that he decided not to do anything about it at that precise moment. It appeared from where I was standing that he was waiting for me to commit to an action I couldn’t possibly take back.

The anger was subsiding, but that passionate buildup was right there waiting for him to take advantage of it. That compulsion was an urge beyond reasoning. My skin was on fire, and every memory was like a tiny explosion inside my mind. It ignited a volcano blast of heat between my legs.

I took a deep breath and stretched out my hand toward him.

He pulled me to him, and a squeal of delight escaped my lips. He kissed me hard and deep, short-circuiting my mind with the pleasure of his tongue and the memory of the first time he held me with defiance. It was all a jumble of images culminating in a moment where I was not going to let him get away until I marked my territory.

He was the one to push me away with two hands on my shoulders. It was obvious he wanted more but didn’t want to do anything that could be misinterpreted. There was this savage animal unbridled inside of me and it was coming out whether I wanted it to or not.

I spun him around, so I didn’t see his face while I concentrated on his strong shoulders and the shape of his spine. My fingers inched around his waist until those digits were locked in place. Intimacy came in many forms including a physical embrace with an underlying meaning.

“I don’t want you to say anything. I just want to be here with you again. Is that too much to ask? Can you give me this one moment without any strings attached? I don’t want to hear any declaration of love,” I said with my fingers scratching his chest through his shirt.

That one button released, I continued on a downward trajectory without being able to see what I was doing. It was all about feeling my way around. My fingers trembled, but I persevered until every single button was open.

His skin felt soft with soft bristles of hair against my fingertips. Curling them around on one finger and pulling lightly made him moan, which only encouraged me to do even more.

“It’s been hell thinking about you and not being able to do something about this thing between us. You remember something. That much is clear,” he said with bated breath while I slowly traveled the length of his torso with my fingers.

“I’m here with you now, and that should be the only thing that matters,” I answered while unbuttoning his pants and feeling his arousal dripping with anticipation.
