Chapter 11

Doin’ Business

Menace and Fatts had spent time strategizing their plan for success. Marcos had assured the two that their driver was in route from somewhere in Mexico and would be pulling in any time now. So for the meantime the two would just lay low and stay alert.

Menace had been at Fatt’s house for most of the day drinking Hennessey and smoking weed. They were gambling with the Tiger woods’ golf game that they were playing on PlayStation. They were betting ten dollars a hole, and Fatts was already up forty dollars.

“Cuzz this game be fuckin cheating,” Menace stated angrily after missing another par putt.

“Nigga don’t blame it on the game, TIGER WOODSSSSSS!” Fatts echoed out as he sank another birdie shot.

Fatts was in the midst of antagonizing Menace when his cell phone rang.

“Hello,” Fatts answered.

Menace just stared at Fatts while he sat quietly listening to the voice on the other end of the phone. Fatts didn’t say a word.

He closed the flip on his cell phone, rose up from the couch and turned the game console off.

Fatts told Menace that their shipment was at the warehouse, and Marcos was waiting for them to come pick it up.

Both men were excited as they hurried out of the house and climbed into Fatt’s Camaro. Minutes later they were pulling into the yard that led to the warehouse. They exited the car, entered the warehouse and walked to the office. Fatts tapped on the door and pushed it open. Fatts strolled in with Menace right behind him.

“Hey what’s up fellas, I told you I would come through for you,” Marcos said pointing at the big boxes.

Customary handshakes and hugs were exchanged between the men.

Menace was the first to show his appreciation while he and Fatts checked out the contents of the boxes. This was the first time either man had seen this much weed or been in possession of that much at one time. Menace and Fatts were like kids in a candy shop.

“Dis what I’m talking about,” Menace exclaimed with obvious excitement. “We about to get paid for real,” Menace finished.

“As long as you guys make good on what you said, this will be a regular hustle for you,” Marcos stated.

“We got this covered,” Menace said with a reassuring tone.

“Yeah this is A-B-C from here on out,” Fatts added.

“So when you guys leaving?” Marcos asked.

“Once we package everything up, get in touch with our people and get a little rest for the road, tomorrow or maybe the day after,” Menace responded.

“Cool,” Marcos said nodding his head in approval.

“So every one of these is a full pound huh?” Fatts asked curiously.

“I’m pretty sure they over a pound so you’ll have to weigh em’ for yourself,” Marcos answered.

Fatts broke off a chunk of weed and handed it to Menace to roll up. He wanted to test the product personally.

“Marcos, toss me one of those cigars you got,” Menace ordered walking to the other side of the desk.

Marcos reached inside his desk to retrieve the cigar and slid it across the top of the desk to Menace.
