CHAPTER 18

The Power of the Mind in Atlantis

From the earliest age, the children were taught about the power of the mind. Your thoughts are like soldiers. Individually they cannot do too much damage or achieve a great deal. But together they form an army commanded by your mind. When you give orders to disciplined, trained soldiers they can accomplish great things. In the same way, when your thoughts are directed properly and focused on the desired outcome, the mind becomes an incisive tool with which to create. This is only possible when the commands are clear and working in alignment with each other. Of course, if you are in charge of an unruly rabble, they will run rings round you. Similarly, if your thoughts are all over the place, your mind controls you. Contradictory thoughts create inner conflict, which is mirrored in your outer life. The Atlanteans were taught that a quiet, still mind is a healthy one. A whirling, overcrowded one is sick. And it is only through a serene and ordered mind that the angelic forces and Illumined Masters can communicate. That is why the people of Golden Atlantis spent silent, meditative time in nature or listening to appropriate music whenever they could.
