On April 2, 2009, Celebrity Access published an article titled “Will Michael Jackson’s Real Manager Please Stand Up?”

There was a major power struggle going on. Leonard Rowe was connected to the AllGood Entertainment Jackson Family Show project, for which Michael was being pressured to perform with his siblings. Katherine and Joseph were supporting this project; Michael was seemingly not interested.

Randy Phillips of AEG reportedly brought in Frank Dileo, whose relationship with Michael had deep roots, in an attempt to control Michael in the direction of fulfilling his commitment to AEG and the London concerts. However, in November 2008, Dileo and AllGood Entertainment signed a binder agreement, in which Dileo promised that Michael, Janet, and The Jacksons would perform a concert in Texas in July 2010, to be taped and marketed as Internet pay-per-view. This agreement mandated that AllGood would pay Dileo $150,000 as a non-refundable commission for Dileo to get Michael to put his signature on the contract. AllGood offered to pay Dileo after he would obtain Michael Jackson’s signature; Dileo declined to move forward without the $150,000.

AEG, reportedly fully aware of the power struggle, retained Frank Dileo as Michael’s “manager” in order to prevent Leonard Rowe from meddling in the AEG deal that Michael had made. A press release, issued on March 26, 2009, announced that Leonard Rowe had been appointed as Michael’s manager. Michael, however, had no knowledge of it, and he allegedly stopped taking calls from Rowe in response to the “maverick” public announcement that was released by those individuals who embraced the AllGood project.

To add to the confusion, AEG’s Randy Phillips told Celebrity Access on April 2nd that they (at AEG) “have been working with Dr. Tohme” in connection with all of Michael Jackson’s concert dates.
