Daughter
1. Depending when the show is performed, this date should change to keep the daughterâs age at six years old.
2. Costco is a big North American bulk store. Use equivalent.
3. Atom Egoyan is an iconic Canadian director â feel free to choose an artist more relevant to your local community if desired.
4. Responses vary from hard absolutely nos to declarations of Iâve done worse. There is always a lot of silence. Itâs easy to lose the audience here, so it is important not to judge anyoneâs response and to empathize with everyone. If people ask questions, as they often do, answers should help convey the father as someone in struggle, trying to figure out what to do with feelings of guilt and shame.
Examples of questions and responses are:
Q: Is your daughter okay?
A: She was fine the next day. Emotionally, I have no idea what sheâs thinking. Sheâs six.
Q: Did that change your relationship with your daughter?
A: My daughter loves me. I love her. Weâll see when sheâs older, right?! Q: Have you ever done anything like that again?
A: No.
Q: What did your wife do?
A: Obviously she had words with me. Iâve never done anything like that ever again.
5. Generally, more people respond positively to this question.
6. As with the earlier audience interaction about violence, it is necessary to listen and empathize. Itâs not necessary to receive a correct definition. You just want them speaking. Some suggested responses and prompts:
Does anyone else agree?
Does anyone have a different thought?
Does anyone want to add anything we havenât thought of?
Often someone immediately responds by saying: consent. Suggested responses are:
Even in a movie?
Does anyone agree or have a different thought?
If an audience member speaks about binary orgies or gangbangs, challenge that idea.
7. Depending on the house count for each performance, the final number should represent just over half the audience.
8. As the sound becomes quite loud quite quickly, the following text has never been audible to the audience but is delivered under the cue:
Bang it out. One at a time. Apparently, every decision I make is with my dick in my hand. So, letâs do it. Lay it down motherfucker! We can start a band. Rock hard. Just take it off! Whip âem out. Slap âem around a little bit. Now come at me. Do it!
