Chapter Twenty-Four

Harlow woke in an empty bed, gloomy morning light blanketing her. At first she was disoriented, confused. But as her body slid against Finn’s sinfully soft sheets, she remembered. The pleasurable ache between her legs reminded her further. And the sounds of the shower emanating from the bathroom brought it all back.

She got out of bed, not waiting for her brain to kick in. She didn’t want to second-guess herself or even think as she entered the bathroom. There was a new toothbrush laid out on the counter and she brushed quickly, then glanced around the corner to where she had a full view of Finn in the shower.

When he saw her his skin glowed, emitting a faint light that brought a tight ache to her belly. He crooked one finger at her, grinning. “Get in here.”

She obliged, stepping into the massive marble shower. He pulled her to him immediately, kissing her so deeply she was grateful she’d brushed her teeth. He’d clearly brushed his, so she had no doubt he’d been thinking of her.

Water fell from the ceiling in a gentle torrent. He turned her body so she faced away from him. “Morning, Harls. I’m happy to see you.”

She felt that acutely, parting her legs as he slid against her back. His hands glided up the front of her and she realized he’d taken a bar of soap from somewhere she couldn’t see. He began to slowly lather around her breasts, her nipples hardening at the attention as his free hand rubbed slow circles down her abdomen, lower and lower until he pressed his palm against her belly the way he had the night before. Today she didn’t flinch as his fingers pressed into her flesh. She felt the way it affected him to touch her, grip onto her soft body. Finn’s mouth grazed her neck and his fangs scraped against her. Heat built between her legs as his lips and tongue teased her ear. “You felt so good last night I thought it was a dream. I didn’t want to wake you though… in case you’d changed your mind.”

Harlow leaned forward, pressing her hands against the cool tile of the shower wall as water washed the soap away. “I haven’t changed my mind,” she said. She leaned forward further, angling her hips upward as she spread her legs. “Feel how much I want you.”

The low growl that emanated from his throat sent shivers through her as he gripped her ass. “I can’t believe you’re here.”

Finn’s voice was so tender she turned to face him. His stormy eyes were full of emotion and his fangs shone in his slightly parted lips. She kissed him, letting her tongue drag across the sharp point of his elongated canines as his fingers dipped between her legs.

As she kissed him, one long finger slid into her, then two. Her hips rocked forward, plunging his fingers deeper inside her. When he drew them out of her he sucked them slowly.
