Day 30: Accepting Challenge

Acceptance of self leads to acceptance of others and challenging situations.

As you deepen your meditation practice and become more comfortable in your own skin, you also cultivate self-acceptance. As you become willing to accept yourself in all circumstances, you expand your ability to accept others.

Not only does this relaxed, accepting state of mind apply to personalities and people, it applies to challenging situations as well.

Years ago a little 2-wheel-drive car my friends and I rented got stuck on a sand road in Namibia in Skeleton Coast National Park. We could have worried, and maybe we did a little. But we weren’t incredibly worried. We figured somehow things would work out.
