Enhancing blood circulation The mechanism of compression sportswear is analogous to compression therapy treatment which is to apply a certain amount of pressure to the body to facilitate venous return. For example, the highest pressure is exerted at the ankle or wrist in compression suits and decreasing gradually up towards the heart to aid the blood circulation.

Reducing the recurrence of muscular injury The support of compression garment reduces the vibration or enhances the stabilization of skeletal muscles in movement, which brings down the possibility of injuries caused by intensive or the long-term exercises (Lovell et al. 2011; Marqués-Jiménez et al. 2017; Kraemer et al. 1998).
