As I sat in the mall reading these first few pages, I started weeping because I finally found someone who had experience with the things I had encountered over the past few months. I read the book Praise Releases Faith from cover to cover several times within the next month—marking it up, highlighting, and underlining on every page. The truths in that book taught me many things, but it also served as my confirmation that I was not crazy, weak, or losing my mind. I then had a resource to help me get completely free.

Several years passed, and I kept Praise Releases Faith on my desk. One day I was ministering to a person who was battling with depression, and he saw the book on my desk. I had referenced the book several times in our conversation. Finally, the person asked me if he could read my book. I told him where he could buy it, and he said okay, but I could tell from his reaction that he wouldn’t go to the bookstore and buy it.

He asked again, “Are you sure I can’t just read your copy?” I told him the book had been a wonderful inspiration and help to my life and that I had allowed people to read other books in my library, but they were never returned. He acknowledged my reluctance and said he understood.

As we concluded and he started to walk out, I grabbed the book and made him promise he would return it after reading it. He promised, and my precious book left my possession that day for the first time in several years.

To make a long story short, two years later I tracked him down in another state. I drove to where he was and got my book. Today my copy of Praise Releases Faith is in a secure location in my possession. It is old, torn, and raveled at the edges, but the truths I learned about my spiritual weapons from that book continue to pull down strongholds in lives today.
