Caroline

So much has happened in the last twenty-four hours.

A creep from work tried to assault me. I lost my virginity to a man I met only a week ago. And right now, as I watch him making dinner for me, I think I might be falling in love.

He moves around the kitchen like an expert, and I do my best to get out of his way. He grabs my ass as he passes by me. “I bet I could bounce a quarter off this ass,” he says from behind. I feel his cock start to harden and come to full size, and all I can do is bite my lips as I involuntarily grind against him.

While I’m lost in my lust for him, he’s mixing up potatoes for the potato salad. He chuckles at how turned on I am, and insists on feeding me first. He’s made sandwiches already, and for dessert, we have a fruit salad.

We eat right there on the kitchen island, both of us famished. He pulls out a bag of chips to go with the sandwiches, but pauses when he sees the expression on my face. “What is it?” he asks.

“Most of the people in this country consume way too much salt and sugar,” I say.

“You’re the doctor, Doc,” he says, laughing as he puts it away.

“It’s just…most of the cases I see on a daily basis are avoidable. Hypertension, Type II Diabetes, even certain cancers.”

“Too bad chips go so well with sandwiches,” he smirks.

“Yeah, it’s a real shame,” I say, trying not to roll my eyes. “I’m just saying, almost every food has an alternative.”

“You know something?” he says, suddenly serious. “There’s not a day that goes by that I’m not grateful that I got shot.”

“Don’t say that,” I say, slapping his arm.

“No, it’s true,” he says. “I’ve been waiting for this all my life. I’ve been waiting for you all my life. This is what everything in my life has led me to. Life’s grand design.”

I frown. I’m still not okay with him getting shot. He tends to be cavalier about his own life, but he means a lot to me. I’ve come to grow fond of him. I almost can’t imagine my life before I met him. I bite my lips to keep from blurting that out loud though.

“It will work out in the end. I promise you,” he says.

I believe him when he says that. For some reason, I have complete and irrefutable trust in him.
