~ Chapter 26 ~

Craig woke in Diane’s room. He was shackled to her bedposts again. He only wore tight leather pants, his head ached, his stomach growled, and Craig groaned. He couldn’t even struggle, and his muscles felt like mud. He was alone in the princess’ room, and he hoped he’d injured her.

The door opened, and Queen Filia and Princess Dianastace walked in. Craig was disappointed to see that the princess looked unharmed, just a trace of the graze he’d given her neck.

Queen Filia pulled up a chair to sit next to Craig. Diane sat on her bed, resting her hand on his stomach. He jerked, trying to force her hand from his belly button.

“I want you to know some things companion.” Queen Filia’s dark red eyes added terror to her glare. “First, if you attempt to escape again, you shall be beaten before being returned to my daughter. Second, you are not to be released from cuffs until I say it’s safe to do so. And third, if you even think of using my daughter as a hostage again, I will personally hunt down and kill anyone, and everyone close to you.” Queen Filia stood. “Diane, make sure he knows who’s in control.”

“Yes Mother.” Diane outlined Craig’s chest with her fingers.

He struggled. “I’m not going to be some idiotic whipping boy.”

“Don’t worry.” Diane’s voice was seductive. “I have no intention of whipping you.”
