Chapter 10

Ace didn’t tell me about his new jet. He explained he needed a bigger jet because it held more fuel, which made plenty of sense. He could fly farther without stopping. I was so scared during take-off. I kept my head in my lap and Ace laughed first but then saw I was really afraid of heights. For the first three hours of being in the sky, we just talked. I kept my head down, hoping my pills kicked in. He made sure I didn’t pop any more. I desperately wanted to because I couldn’t do this shit. Ace sat close, just talking and getting my input on stuff. He wanted to make sure I was happy in our relationship.

Communication was important to me and Ace, so we talked a lot. Talking broke my thoughts from thinking how high I was in the sky. We shared stories, goals, and laughter together. I loved him even more because even though he loved his money, he took time to get things right within his home. If you not dealing with a busy nigga, then he must not bring as much money as Ace does every day. He constantly works and brings it home for me to count it and do whatever else with it. I was his personal accountant.

After growing restless, I eventually fell asleep. Ace had new updates in this jet and it had a bedroom. I took advantage of it and got me some shuteye in the sky. Ace took this time to catch up on some much needed cuddling. I thought he would try to sneak and do some work but he didn’t. Ace made sure I fell into a peaceful sleep. He was making me feel so loved. I didn’t want to close my eyes because I didn’t want to miss being with him for the world. He promised me he would always be here and to never think otherwise. I believed my man and finally fell into a deep sleep.

“Koì, wake up.” I was awakened by soft kisses on my cheek and gentle strokes through my hair. I didn’t know how long I had been asleep but I knew it was some damn good sleep. The pills had me knocked out!

“Hey boo.” I stretched my arms and my mind drifted off to the wet dream I just had.

“We about to land soon. I picked this out for you. You like it?” asked Ace, holding a pair of Yves Saint Laurent heels. He wore a big smile.

“I love it. See, why couldn’t I wear sumthin like this going out with the girls?”

“Key words, you was going out with your girls. Not yo man. Rules is rules. You know ‘em,” said Ace. I let it go and looked in the Tory Burch bag. “Go get dressed. I been fantasizing on how that ass look in this dress all day. Yo tattoo gon look sexy as fuck,” said Ace, damn near drooling over the white leather Prada dress with a gold zipper curved from top to bottom.
