Just inside the doorway sat a security guard. He had a half-eaten sandwich in his mouth and a comic book in one hand.

“Um,” he said with the sandwich in his teeth. “Hello?”

“Hiya!” Harley said, stepping inside and kicking aside some debris. “Don’t mind me. Just here to rob the place. It’s all very official.”

The guard looked her up and down, noting the giant mallet, the bits of door on the floor, and the maniacal smile on her face. “I see,” he said. “I’ll just go on my break now.”

“Thanks, mister!” Harley called after him as he hurried away. And with that, she dropped the mallet in the janitor’s closet and slipped into the party.
