didn’t think the dripping was that big a deal. What harm can a little water do? I cleaned up the water that had been dripping from the pipe’s seam near the floor and forgot about it. Several days later I noticed the floor was wet again. So, I cleaned it up and went on my way. I finally clued in that this might be a problem when I noticed the floor around the base of the sink was becoming damaged. I brought it to the attention of my husband, and he immediately shut the water supply off to the sink and called the plumber. We indeed had problems.

Many months later I came across verses in Proverbs that took on new meaning because of this whole leaky faucet situation. When I recorded these verses in my journal, I called them my “ouchie” marriage verses. I think you’ll see why.

Proverbs 19:13: “A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping.”
