BREAK
SHARE; HEART TO HEART
Begin your time together by having the women turn to Page 95 in Captivating. Begin by reading Isaiah 61 in the more familiar words and then the whole page.
1. Start your discussion by saying that what you are after during this time together is healing. The way that God heals our hearts is deeply personal. For one woman, it may happen in a dramatic moment; for another, it takes place over time. Even after weâve experienced some deep healing, God will often take us back again, a year or two later for a deeper work of healing.
2. Have they been able to identify the message that came with their wounds? It would be good to have them share those (either for the first time or by way of reminder).
3. Are they able to put into words what they have been wounded into believing about themselves?
4. How have they been mishandling their hearts? (What have they been doing with their pain? Oftentimes the answer is heaping more contempt upon it.) Has it been working?
5. Tell them, âWe all still have questions. Am I lovely? Do you delight in me? Am I captivating? God, our True Father, longs to answer that for us, personally, intimately. What would you love for his answer to you to be?â Share your answer first. (You will want to write down what every woman says here as well. It is a deep clue into what is most true for each of them.)
6. Now, for the best part. Spend the rest of your time together praying through the steps to healing. These are steps, a path, a way to walk in, and to live. Ask them if they are willing and ready to give Jesus access and invite deeper healing? Thatâs why weâre here. You will want to pray slowly and give plenty of pauses for the words to sink in and for the women to make it personal. Donât rush through this. Say something like, âI think it would be good for us to take Jesus up on his offer!
What weâre going to do now is pray together. I am going to pray out loud, and I want you to follow along with me in your hearts, agreeing. I will be pausing in several places for you to make it personal. . . I know this is deeply personal. Itâs also so beautiful. Letâs go to God together. Letâs ask him!â
âIt begins with surrender. We give ourselves fully over to God.â
To enter the journey towards the healing of your feminine heart, all it requires is a âYes. OK.â A simple turning in the heart. Like the prodigal son, we wake one day to see that the life weâve constructed is no life at all. We let desire speak to us again, we let our heart have a voice.
