From everything you’ve read, the virus is no laughing matter. It would be foolish for you to stay here knowing you could catch it. With a sigh, you agree to turn around and go back home.

After a long, disappointing flight and a restless night’s sleep, you’re back to your routine at home. You catch the latest sci-fi thriller at the mall with your friends, you spend an afternoon mini golfing, and you dig into a new novel. Life seems perfectly normal.

By Tuesday—just four days after your return—the news is plastered with stories of Blood Fever in North America, Europe, and Northern Africa. News anchors and reporters seem really worried. The virus is spreading at rates never before seen.
