Daniel watched Lana pull away in her small, silver hybrid car. They had talked each other's ears off while they walked to Apollo's grave, and she had really impressed him with her wit, intelligence, and beauty. He didn't like the feeling of watching her leave him, but at the same time, he was overjoyed to have spent so many amazing moments with her in the first place. The visit was unexpected, but incredible.

He went in his house to try and make dinner. The entire time, his mind kept whirling back to Lana. She was a gorgeous woman, and the way it felt when they were walking arm in arm together had been unbelievably pleasurable. He hadn't felt that kind of amiability with anyone before. He couldn't get her out of his mind.

The next week, he came up with an idea. He would bring flowers to her at the clinic and ask him to have dinner with him. He called beforehand to see if she would be there, and slipped on his most flattering jeans and a tight V-neck T-shirt. He admired himself in the mirror. Although he was modest, he knew he was attractive. More than anything though, he hoped that Lana would think so.

Daniel puttered around the house before leaving, and grabbed a cowboy hat on second thought before heading out the door. The veterinary clinic was closing. It was late afternoon on a Sunday. The sun was headed out for the day, and he waited patiently, holding a bouquet of wildflowers and leaning against his truck. Finally, Lana emerged, and her entire body seemed to straighten up when she saw him. She ran over to him, and he couldn't help but notice the way her body moved as she ran. It excited him, and he ran to meet her halfway.

“Daniel!” she exclaimed, her smile wider than he had ever seen it before. “What are you doing here?”

“Well, there was this woman who came by my house a while ago,” he said, “and I couldn't get her off my mind.”

He handed her the bouquet and led her by the arm to the other side of his truck.

“I was thinking maybe you'd like a date with me, Lana.” he said, opening the truck door gallantly.

“Well, how could I refuse?” she said, pleasure etched all over her face. He felt proud of himself for making her feel so good, and gazed at the contentment on her face. He couldn't help but wonder to himself how much more pleasure she could express.

“Well that's perfect,” he said, “because I have everything all ready already.” He laughed at himself, and she laughed with him.

Soon, with Lana beside him, he drove her off for a romantic evening.
