Xander

Dragging myself from Chastity’s warm curves, I head back to my room, grab a quick shower, and change into my suit. After checking in with my team, I check in with the band members before heading to the underground parking lot. The band’s bus is parked in a reserved section, and I want to check it over before they head off to the stadium in a few hours.

I expect to find the bus empty, but Jameson is there, sitting in the living area, scribbling on a pad.

“You good?” I ask, taking the empty chair opposite him.

“Hey, Xander. Yeah, just wanted a little peace and quiet before the chaos. Got lyrics rolling around in my head for a new song and wanted to get them down on paper.” He leans back in his chair and looks at me. “How did lunch go?”

I clear my throat. ‘Good.”

Jameson’s mouth twitches. “Are you blushing, cupcake?”

I glower at him. “Fuck off.”

His eyes narrow. “Well, well. Someone got laid.”

Someone got laid.

What a casual, crass description for what Chastity and I shared this afternoon. There was nothing crass or casual about it.

I straighten my suit jacket. “None of your fucking business.”

Jameson purses his lips, eyeing me thoughtfully. “You’re right. But looking at you right now, I’d hazard a guess that your little redhead means more to you than you anticipated.”

I’m shocked at his insight. “Sounds like you’re talking from experience. What’s going on between you and Shelby.”

Jameson’s expression darkens. “None of your fucking business.”

I smile. Touché.”

Yeah. Neither of us is big on talking.
