Before the Tour

You will want to plan your blog tour at least four to eight weeks in advance, perhaps even more if it’s going to be a larger tour. As you’ll find out in this chapter, there are several steps to take care of even before your blog tour starts. The more organized you are during this step of the process, the smoother your blog tour is likely to run.

Choose Your Blogs

If you are connected with any author communities, your author friends who maintain personal blogs sound like the logical first choice to turn to when looking for blog tour hosts. In general, authors are great at promoting other authors. Keep in mind that if you are asking a lot of other colleagues to review your book on their blogs, you should be willing to return the favor for them in the future.
