Touches

According to my visor, I got exactly three minutes and twenty-one seconds of Dahlia time before Posey took her away from me again. She passed off the baby and then pulled me to my feet.

And then Audra stepped up behind me and began wrapping me in the arm binder. I didn’t struggle, but I complained, “You’re not serious.”

“Behave, Mating Candidate. Consider this. Posey and Violet are unhappy.”

I laughed. “They didn’t get to tickle anyone yet, but if I’m heading for a cell, I’m not going to be happy.”

“That is not the plan,” Violet said. “Unless you misbehave.”

Audra finished with my arms and then patted my bottom. “You look amazing.”

“Funny. So I’m coming back here?”

“Possibly,” Violet said. “But you may make other choices.”

“Because I’m angry?”

“No, no. Dim her visor, Audra.”

She didn’t just dim my visor. She isolated my ears, too, which annoyed me to no end. And then I felt human hands on one arm and tentacles on the other. I didn’t know whose they were, but I assumed Posey or Violet.

They walked me through the facility. There was an elevator ride, then more walking. We came to a stop, and then I heard Audra’s voice. “You will be cheerful, Yvette. Put on a smile, and I’ll know if it’s fake.”

“Give me a reason to smile and it won’t be fake.”

“If you don’t get tickled tonight, it will only because you’ve received an even better offer.”

I laughed. “Gee. Tickled or not tickled.” I was puzzled, but I smiled. And a moment later, I felt the floor begin to grow over my legs.

“You’re kidding me.”

“Smile,” Audra said. “And let us do what we want.” Once my feet were caught, then leaned me slightly backwards and off balance. Then the floor continued eating me, stopping just below my fingers. At that point, Audra removed my arm binder while tentacles supported me. “Lift your hands from your sides.”

I was swallowed nearly entirely, definitely off balance, and then Audra told me to pose my arms.

I put one hand on my hip, encountering the plastic-like prison, and pointed the other one straight out.

“Oh, bad choice,” she said. “You didn’t think we’d let you keep that one.” Tentacles wrapped around my wrists and lifted my hands over my head, spread apart like a Y, and the floor finished swallowing me that way.

The tentacles released my wrists, but after a moment, I felt them underneath my arms.

There was no protective prison there.

“No,” I whispered.

I received a minute or two of tickling, Audra laughing along with me. “You knew the attitude would come with a price, Yvette.”

Finally the tickling ended. They gave me a few moments to collect myself, and then they adjusted my head, my chin down and my head slightly cocked to the right. The prison finished enclosing me, holding me firmly in this exact position, and closing my mouth so tightly I couldn’t speak.

“Perfect,” Audra said. “You’ve already figured out what’s going on. Are you upset?” A pair of choices appeared for Yes or No. I used my eyes to select No.
