Be Your Potential.

CHAPTER THREE

STEPPING UP

In the last chapter we discussed the importance of paying attention to our feelings and our emotions. Because when we focus on and think about all the things we don’t want in our lives, we begin to attract them into our lives. Whatever you’re thinking about, you’re going to attract it. If you feel anger, you’ll attract and feel more anger. If you feel fearful about situations, you’re going to attract those fearful situations. However, if you focus on feeling good, feeling prosperous, abundant and joyful, you’re going to start to attract those things into your life – you will start to be your potential.

If you’re focusing on your problems, your mind will just continue to focus on the ‘lack of’. You need to be able to retrain the mind, consciously and unconsciously, by thinking and feeling the positive things that you want to attract in your life – as if you have them right now. It’s about shifting your focus onto what you want and how you want it.

Feeling good and thinking positively is simple when you use the hypnosis audio download tracks (www.josephclough.com/byp), as these techniques will help change your frame of mind from negative to positive and begin to allow positivity to manifest.

Let’s take health as an example. If you focus on how poor your body is, or how bad your health is at present, you’re going to get more of it – you’ll be stuck in poor health. You would never drive a car by looking in the rearview mirror, would you? You look at where you are going. You put your focus ahead, outside the front windscreen, occasionally looking back – but mostly looking forward to your destination.

Moreover, I have found there can be a common trait in people with dis-ease or dis-order – they tend to focus on how their lives are at a disadvantage and send that signal throughout their whole bodies to act out that outcome. This way of thinking is called a nocebo, which means taking on a belief that causes harm, the opposite effect of a placebo.

But if we reconnect with our minds and bodies, we can focus our bodies to get well again, feeling good and being the way we want to be – healthy.
