I tossed more and more alcohol down my throat while someone lit another joint. My head was spinning, but I was still standing. That was all that mattered. I was so drunk I couldn’t see straight. The next thing I knew the elite were huddled up, passing something out. Moments later, Tiffany was back in front of me, pushing her chest against mine.

“I have something for you,” she whispered.

“Yeah, what’s that?” I slurred.

“Open your mouth,” she continued, her lips only slightly touching mine.

When I did, she dropped something onto my tongue.

“Swallow it, and I swear, you’ll have the time of your life.” Her green eyes were wide with excitement.

“What is it?” It felt like a pill.

“Molly,” she said, showing me her pill and making a show of putting it on her tongue. She swallowed and opened her mouth for me to see that it was gone.

If she could do it, I could do it. I swallowed and showed her my empty mouth. Her grin widened, and she leaned in, pressing her mouth to mine.

She pulled away abruptly and went walking through the house.

It seemed the whole group had dispersed into different areas. Hudson and Lucas were by the bar, talking to a couple girls.

Asha walked over to me. “You want to get out of here?”

My back straightened. “Are you offering to leave with me?” I asked, confused.

She shrugged as she peeked up at me from beneath her lashes.

Before I could say more, Tiffany was back. She took my hand in hers while shooting Asha a look. Hudson and Lucas both came back into the room.

“All right, boys and girls. It’s time to move this party into the VIP room,” Hudson said with a wide smile while rubbing his hands together.

Asha glanced over at me. “You should probably go.” There was a seriousness on her face that wasn’t there moments before.

It felt like she was trying to get rid of me. But I was bound and determined to find out what the VIP room was. If for no other reason than to have some dirt on them if I needed it.

“I think I’ll stick around,” I told her. “I’m having a good time.”

Tiffany smirked, happy with my answer. “See, Asha. He’s having fun with me. Shouldn’t you go join Lucas?”

Asha pressed her lips together and turned so fast her long hair smacked me in the face. I watched as she stepped up to Lucas’s side. He pulled her in close as a door in the kitchen opened. They walked through and starting going down some steps.

There were quite a few people between Asha and Lucas and Tiffany and me, but slowly, everyone in line descended down the dark steps. By the time I got to the bottom, the room opened up. It was a finished basement with four different couches, a bar, a pool table, and a round table that looked to be used for poker games. The overhead lights were off, replaced by a flashing, strobe light and a multicolored disco ball.
