“Ladies!” Detective Mitchell's voice rattled Rayasia and Kaneshia when she spoke. Rayasia and Kaneshia had returned to the Black room. Detective Mitchell glanced at Detective Mann. “We need to know what your relationship was like with Pastor Isaac Williams.”

“I knew this was coming.” Rayasia smacked. She shook her head from left to right.

“You knew what was coming?” asked Detective Mitchell.

“That statement,” replied Rayasia. “My life is nothing but one big problem. It's a big mess. All I need is a man and some money. That's all.”

“So is that what your relationship with Pastor Williams was about?” Detective Mitchell walked closer to Rayasia.

“That's what I wanted it to be about. But he did not. I tried him.” Rayasia's eyes fell on Kaneshia. “We tried him.”

“Please explain. How did you try him?” Detective Mitchell asked.

“We tried to get him in bed.” Rayasia kept her eyes on Kaneshia. “Several ladies from this club had a bet going. And some men were to collect the money. We wanted to see who could get Pastor Williams to do something wrong first. We tried some of everything to get him to do something preachers have no business doing. It did not work. We couldn't trick him. Even with all of this.” Rayasia brushed her hands across the front of her body and rested her hands on her shapely hips. “I still couldn't trap him. I tried all week long. Nothing worked because Pastor was good. He was a good preacher.” Rayasia stood in silence.

“Rayasia is right. We tried him.” Kaneshia looked at Detective Mitchell then Detective Mann. She kept her eyes on Detective Mann. “My last attempt was on Sunday just before the early morning church service started. I tried desperately to get him to kiss me. He would not so I forced my lips to his. He pushed my chest away and wiped his mouth clean. He wiped off all of my Brandywine Cherry Red lipstick from his lips with a tissue and tossed it in the trash basket. Then he politely asked me to leave his office. As I left his office, I could hear him praying for me.”

“Anything for a few dollars?” Detective Mann looked at Rayasia and asked.

“Times is hard.” Rayasia replied. “And yes.” She paused. “For me anything. For me almost anything.”
