One thing I realized that niggas didn’t know about me was that I was always five steps ahead of them. It had been a while since I put my murder game down, so I guess niggas thought that I didn’t have it in me anymore. That’s where they had shit fucked up at. When I was leaving from spending time with London in VA to go handle some business, I noticed that someone was following me. They didn’t even try to fall back and follow me from a distance. They were right on my ass. Every time I switched lanes, so did they. When I sped up, they sped up too.
“This nigga gotta be the dumbest motherfucker I’ve ever seen!”
What he didn’t know was that he was about to follow me right into a trap. My instincts were telling me that this had something to do with Chief. I couldn’t see who was in the car because it was all black with dark tints and it was dark outside. They made sure they stayed behind me and never rode beside me. I grabbed my phone and called my nigga, Ox. He was the only nigga I trusted because I knew that his loyalty to me ran deep. He was the one niggas dealt with when they wanted to get drugs from me.
“What’s good, boss? That shipment is about to come in. Are you on your way?”
“Yeah, fam. I’m like thirty minutes from you now. It looks like we’re expecting company too. Some nigga followed me all the way from VA. I know they think they’re about to take what I got and try to kill me, so this is what I want you to do. When the delivery truck comes in, I want you to handle that for me. I’m going to drive this nigga around town to buy some time before I bring him back to you. Hit me up when you unload everything.”
“I got you, boss.”
After driving around for another hour or so, Ox finally called me back and told me he was done. I always had the bricks delivered to my soul food restaurant, Pop’s Kitchen, in a food truck. That way it looked like we were just getting our weekly inventory for the restaurant.
I pulled up in the back of my restaurant and turned my car off. I reached under my seat and grabbed the glock I kept under there. I checked my surroundings, and I didn’t notice anything that looked funny. My restaurant was closed, so there weren’t any people around. And it was pitch black in the back alley where I was parked. I didn’t see the car that had been following me anymore, but I knew that something was up with that. The person probably parked somewhere else trying to be inconspicuous, not knowing that I was already on to him.
I got out of my car to go through the back door that led to The Dungeon, which was the basement inside my restaurant.
