The successful salesman is not deterred by down-heartedness, bad weather or discouragement – all the things that the feeble individual uses as an excuse. No! He makes a virtue of his setbacks by using them as a spur to the achievement of yet greater heights. Ask him how he has succeeded and he will tell you – through tenacity, the ‘bulldog spirit’, grit, pluck, verve, an inner resolution, the voice ringing in his ear that assures him: ‘Never give up ’til the sale is won!’
