Chapter 27
Susan sat staring at her phone. She knew the phone was going to ring at six, but she still didnât know what she was going to say.
She did know she never again wanted to live through the two hours she had spent with Wexler after they left the club that morning, but for the first time she truly believed there was nothing she could do about it.
For the first time in her life she thought about killing herself.
When Wexler told Susan that morning he was coming up to the apartment with her, it didnât surprise her. He seemed to have an unerring sense of when she least wanted him around.
It had started like all the other timesâstripping off his clothes, praising his body, telling him how big and full his penis was. But this time, when he led her to the bathroom, he was fully erect. The cruelty he was planning for her was exciting him.
As usual she had to strip down to her panties and bra, but this time when he told her to kneel in front of him he made her do it on the bare floor. At first it was uncomfortable. Then it became painful. She continued to perform fellatio on him, but sat back on her calves to take some of the weight off her knees. It only made the tiles dig in at a different spot.
She took her mouth away from him and reached for the bath mat that was folded over the tub.
Wexler quickly grabbed her hair and jerked her head toward him. The pain of her hair being pulled was immediate and intense.
âDid I tell you to stop?â
âThis floor is hurting my knees.â
âSo what. Suck me until youâre told to stop.â
He forced her head into position, and this time he placed his right foot on her left thigh, using it like a bar rail. He pressed his weight down on her until it felt as if the floor tiles were cutting through her skin.
All the while he pushed her head back and forth. She couldnât keep the tears from oozing out of her eyes. She thought he might climax soon and it would be over, but he pulled her away from him and slapped her hard across the face.
âIf you want to cry, Iâll give you something to cry about. Stand up.â
She was trembling now. The more frightened and hurt she became, the more he liked it.
He tormented her for over an hour. There was no blood. No permanent damage or injury. Just a slow, steady accretion of indignities and pain. Twice Susan tried to edge toward the medicine chest, so she could grab the scissors on the bottom shelf and stab him, but stopped herself. Wexler was too strong and too quick. She kept thinking of Wexlerâs pen jutting out of that waiterâs eye.
When Susan was so numb with shame and loathing that he could hardly detect any resistance or fight left in her, Wexler finally allowed himself an orgasm.
But even when the humiliating sex was over, Wexler wasnât done.
