"Ah good, you're here."

I look up, half-surprised to find Oakley standing at the counter with a large binder in her hands.

I raise an eyebrow. "Why wouldn't I be here? I own the place. Well, half the place."

She shrugs. "You might have run off to the town hall with Azíl to get married."

"Why is everyone so obsessed with the idea I'm going to do that? Do I give off eloping vibes?"

"I don't think it would count as eloping if you're in your own town."

"I wouldn't know, I've spent absolutely no time researching elopement. Do you want a drink?"

"Cappuccino please. But decaf."

"Coming right up." I turn to the machine and start making her drink.

I set the coffee down in front of her.

"Thanks, Willow." She takes a sip and wrinkles her nose. "That's going to take some getting used to."

"You lost me, Oak."

"Oh sorry, the decaf. I can't believe I have to drink it now."

"Wait, are you..."

"Oh no, definitely not. Justin's doctor has recommended he cut down on caffeine so I said I'd do it with him. Starting to regret it now."

"Is he okay?" I had no idea my cousin's new husband would need to do something like that.

"Tension headaches or something like that, they don't actually have an answer yet, but this is an easy thing we can try to make it better." There's still a hint of worry in her eyes.

"Anything I can do?"

"Tell me how to make decaf more palatable? All the magic in the world and we can't manage that."

I chuckle. "Just more proof that caffeine is magic."

"So it would seem. But I didn't come here to talk about coffee, even if you could talk on the subject for days."

"I'm not sure about days, hours maybe," I murmur.

Oakley gives me a look that tells me she doesn't believe a word I'm saying. "Didn't you just release a paper on a hot drink?"

"It wasn't coffee."

"A weak retort. Especially when you know more about coffee than the rest of us put together. Add in all the other hot drinks and I think you could keep us bored for a full week," Oakley says.

"Bored?" I browse the flavour syrups until I find the vanilla and put a shot of it into an espresso mug.

"Well, you'd be entertained. And Azíl, you know he loves to learn. The rest of us, not so much. Though you know, it wouldn't be bad to do a series of videos for your social media about all the coffees. I can ask Justin to put some stuff together for you, he already does all that for the bakery," she suggests.

"Do you think he would?" I set the mug down next to her. "Stir that into your coffee."

She picks it up and adds it. "Of course he would, what's family for?"

I chuckle. "So that's how we expand our businesses? Keep marrying the people who could help us."

"None of the others have headed down the aisle yet, but you might be onto something. I guess Hazel's boyfriend isn't that useful."

"He's a chef," I point out.
