Nay

Yesterday evening I got the phone call that I had been waiting days for. The police called me and told me they arrested Dee-Dee for assaulting me. I was happy my plan worked and she was sitting in a cell away from Jay. Now I needed to talk to him before she gets out. I need to convince him to be with me and not her. I will gladly step in and raise the baby like I gave birth to it myself. He doesn’t need her for anything.

Pulling the covers back I got out of my bed, went to the bathroom and got in the shower. I didn’t bother putting any clothes on because I finally had my house to myself. A few days ago Kamari got his prosthetic hands and he was out with my mom visiting his kids. He hasn’t seen them once since his hands were cut off. He thought they would think he was a monster, so he would only talk to them on the phone. If his daughters only knew that he really is a monster.

I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my body. I wiped the steam off of the mirror and got my toothbrush out of the holder. I looked in the mirror at my face and noticed the ugly gash on my eyelid was forming a scab over it. The burn on my face was now pink because I lost a layer of skin. I hope it heals good, otherwise I’ll have to wear makeup and I don’t really like make-up like that.

I put some toothpaste on my toothbrush and began brushing my teeth. It felt awkward to brush over the space where my front tooth used to be. I have to make an appointment to get an implant or something. When I get Jay back I will be a reflection of him. I can’t walk around missing a tooth and claiming Jay as my man. I have to look good for him.

I finished brushing my teeth and washing my face. I went to my bedroom and picked up my phone up to call Jay. I got his voicemail yet again. I started to worry about him because it wasn’t like him not to have his phone on. I called his phone over and over again for at least ten minutes. I got the voicemail every single time I called. And I know it wasn’t because he had my number blocked. I changed my phone number shortly after I got the call that Dee-Dee was arrested just so I could get through to him. I wanted to talk to him and get him back before I go back to work in a few weeks, because I can’t stalk and work. That just don’t go together. But with his phone being off, I can’t reach him to get him back. Something wasn’t right with my man and I wanted to know what was going on.

While I was done getting dressed, I heard my front door open and close.
