They got in the car to head back to the cabin.

Dan asked, "I've worked up quite an appetite. How about we stop and have lunch somewhere? There’s a diner close to here; it's nothing fancy but the food’s good.”

She rubbed her neck, not sure whether she should be spending so much time with him outside of the project they had going. “I’m a little tired.”

“Of course. I don’t want to wear you out. Are you still coming into the store so we can look through the photos?”

“Can we do that first thing tomorrow? I’m a little tired. I could come to the store in the morning.”

“Yes. That would be fine. Thank you for coming with me today.”

When they got back to the cabin, he said goodbye and headed to his horse and buggy.

After Bridget had got inside the cabin, she stood close to the kitchen window and watched him leave. Even though she wanted to spend time with him, she was wary.
