Chapter Fifteen

Antoinette jolted awake out of her sleep. She could hear a commotion going on downstairs. It felt like déjà vu all over again from when Aaron’s house got raided the last time. She knew this couldn’t be the case though because Aaron hadn’t even been around to make anyone suspicious of him.

“Baby,” Antoinette said as she shook him gently.

“What’s up ma, I’ll give you some dick when I wake up,” mumbled Aaron.

“Quit playing Aaron. That’s not what I’m waking you up for. Something’s going on downstairs.

Aaron sat up after Antoinette said those words and sat still for a second until he heard banging on the front door. After a few seconds, the banging stopped but then he could hear the sound of glass being broken.

“Stay here, Aaron said as he jumped out of bed. He grabbed a pair of jogging pants and raced out of the room.

Antoinette knew that Aaron said wait there but there was no way that she was going to just sit there while something was going on downstairs. Especially if there was a possibility of a bitch being down there.

Antoinette slipped on one of Aaron’s shirts and a pair of basketball shorts and ran out of the room to catch up with him.

Aaron was halfway down the stairs but paused when he heard footsteps behind him. He wanted to make sure that Tiara hadn’t woke up

“Didn’t I tell your ass to wait until I come back?” said Aaron in a calm tone. He was trying his best not to yell at Antoinette.

“I don’t care what you said Aaron. I’m not about to sit down there while somebody outside beating on your door and just know that if it’s a bitch me and you gone have a problem.”

“Well, it’s obvious that you don’t give a fuck about what I said since your hard headed ass is standing behind me.”

Aaron was ready to say something else, but he heard another bang, so he continued to walk down the stairs. He made a mental note to check Antoinette about her attitude after all of this was over with.

I guess I been gone too long and she done forgot who the man is in this relationship I guess I’m going to have to remind her Aaron thought.

Aaron turned on the porch light first before he opened the front door. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he stepped outside. Latisha had busted all the windows out of Mark’s silver CLS Coupe, and she was in the process of slashing the tires.

“What the fuck is your problem?” Yelled Aaron.

Aaron’s voice caught Latisha off guard because she didn’t know that Aaron was even out of the hospital. She assumed that Mark was laid up at Aaron’s house with some bitch, so that’s why he wasn’t answering her calls or text messages.

“Aaron, I didn’t know you were home,” said Latisha.

“I don’t give a fuck if you knew or not. Whatever that’s going on between you and Mark are between you two. You don’t bring that shit to where me and my family lay our head,” yelled Aaron.
